Jackson--Margaret June Maynard, 83, died Thursday March 1,2012 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. June was born May 28,1928 to Elizabeth and Doug Powell. She was a long time resident of Tupelo before moving to Jackson two years ago. June was retired from the Social Security Administration in Tupelo and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tupelo.

Graveside service will be Saturday March 3, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Tupelo Memorial Gardens with Dr. David Eldridge officiating. W.E.Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her daughter Shirley Griffin and husband Rick of Jackson, granddaughter Amy Schrock and husband Fred of Jackson,grandson Chandler Griffin and wife Alison of New York City, great grandson Griffin Schrock, great grandaughter Piper Schrock and sister Ann Powell of Tupelo.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Earl Maynard and her parents Elizabeth and Doug Powell.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the Diabetes Foundation or the Mississippi Heart Association.
