Tupelo- Mary Alice Trammel Davis, 86, died Monday, March 5, 2012, at The Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born in Dorsey on December 25, 1925, to William Arnold and Aurelia Beatrice Sheffield Trammel. She was a graduate of Itawamba Agricultural High School. Known for her love of family, friends and her church, she also enjoyed needlework and cultivating roses. She was married 62 years to Bobbie Davis. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Graveside services, weather permitting, will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Lee Memorial Park with Dr. Gale Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her sons, Jerry A. Davis (Deborah) and Tom Davis (Kathy);
grandchildren, Scott (Ginny), Stuart, and Lily; her sister, Virginia Watson; two brothers, William Trammel (Nell) and Edwin Trammel (Betty); numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobbie Davis in 2008; and a sister, Villa Leech.

Pallbearers will be Scott Davis, Stuart Davis, Phillip Trammel, Ron Trammel, William Trammel, and Michael Lovett.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Vicki King Sunday School Class, Bill Cooley, Jimmy Floyd, Jack McFerrin, Willie Partlow, Evans Whittle, and Ken Wicker.

Visitation will be 9:30 - 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012, at the Funeral Home.
