Raised in Tupelo,  Greg represents the fourth generation of the Pegues family to enter funeral service.  He is a graduate of Tupelo High School, the University of Mississippi, and completed his mortuary science education at Northwest Community College.  He also is a 1985 graduate of the National Foundation of Funeral Service Management.  He and his wife Sandy have three children, Whitney Camille, William Edward, IV, and Wriley Abigail.  Greg is a member of the Tupelo Kawanis Club, serves on the BancorpSouth community board, serves as secretary-treasurer for the Friends of the Oren Dunn Museum advisory board,and is the Immediate Past President  of the Mississippi Funeral Directors Association board. From 2001-2005, he served on the board of directors for Selected Independent Funeral Homes.  Greg and his family are members of Calvary Baptist Church.  Greg has been affiliated with W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors since 1979.  He is the son of Norma Crockett Pegues and the late William E. "Bill" Pegues.

Sammy joined the staff of W. E. Pegues in 1969 and has been the assistant manager and a senior director since 1979.  He now serves as general manager.  Sammy graduated from Tupelo High School and has also completed two years of study through the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a Lay Minister and a Lay Renewal Coordinator through the Mississippi Baptist Brotherhood Department. Sammy was born in North Lee County and has lived in Tupelo/Lee County all his life. He is the son of the late M. H. and Clara Mae Lansdell.  

Sammy is married to the former Alma Browning of Batesville and they have two children, Clay Lansdell and his wife, Lana Franks Lansdell, and Kelly L. Phillips and her husband, Wade. Sammy also has two granddaughters, Anna Brooke and Kayleigh.

Sammy and his family attend Faith Baptist Church of Saltillo. He is a member of The North Mississippi Cruisers Car Club.

Sammy enjoys woodworking, restoring old cars namely his 1957 Chevy, Camaros, and Chevelles.

A native and lifelong resident of Tupelo, Willis is the son of the late Willis O. and Myrtie Ford Swain,  Willis first joined the staff of W. E. Pegues in 1956, when he was still attending Tupelo High School.  Upon graduation, he entered John A. Gupton School of Mortuary Science, graduating in 1959.  He returned home shortly after and has been a vital part of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors for nearly 50 years.  Willis served as general manager of W. E. Pegues from 1979 until his semi-retirement in 2002.  He continues working closely with the Pegues Staff as a training and services consultant.  Willis and his late wife, Janice Martin Swain have two children, David and Brad Swain, and three grandchildren.  He is married to Joyce Wages Swain.

Harvey has been affiliated with W. E. Pegues since 1978.  He is the son of the Late Rev. Jack and Beatrice Raper and was raised in the Richmond Community.  He is married to Martha Gillespie and they have one daughter, Lisa McComb, two grandchilddren, Mindi and Cassidy, and one great-grandson, Dawson. He is a member of Richmond Pentecostal Church.

A Tupelo native, Robert is the son of Orville and Rebecca Wilson.  He is a 1971 graduate of Tupelo High School and a 1975 graduate of Mississippi State University with a BS in Business Administration.  He is married to the former Pat Simmons of Endville and they have two children, Tiffany Vaughan of Shannon and Amanda Schulz of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and 2 grandchildren.  Robert is a member of Brewer Baptist Church.  He enjoys fishing and refinishing antiques.  He is also a past Grand Master of Masonic Lodge 318 in Tupelo, a 32 degree mason in the Scottish Rite, a York Rite, and a Hamasa Shriner.

J. C. is an Auburn Community native and is the son of  the late John C. and Verma Lee Summers Robbins.  He is a 1965 graduate of Mooreville High School and was a 1966 graduate of Kentucky School of Mortuary Science.  J. C. first came to W. E. Pegues in 1969 worked 16 and a half years before acquiring two funeral homes in Alabama in 1982.  In 1997, he sold his businesses in Alabama and after working with ECI, for several years, returned to W. E. Pegues in 2000.  He is married to Jane Beane Robbins and they have four children, John Robbins of Gulfport, Mississippi, and Lee Ann Carter of Nashville, Tennessee, Tim Webb of Tupelo, and Shauna Bryan of Franklin, Tennessee.  He also has 4 grandchildren.  He is a 32 degree Mason and a shriner.  He enjoys boating at Guntersville Lake, hunting and fishing.  He and his wife attend the Orchard.

Mike Easley, Funeral Director/Embalmer

Mike joined the staff of W. E. Pegues in 2000.  An Okolona native, he is the son of the late Frances Easley and Joe Allen Easley. he is a 1971 graduate of Okalona High School, attended Itawamba Community College and graduated from Northwest School of Funeral Service.  Mike is is certified by the National Funeral Service Board.  He is married to Becky Armstrong and they have three children, Amy Hagood of Saltillo, John Easley of Bartlett, Tennessee, and Christy Easley of Tupelo.  Mike is an avid bass fisherman and participates in several bass tournaments a year.  He also enjoys collecting antique fishing lures.  Mike is a member of Brewer Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon and Sunday school teacher.

Born and raised in Tupelo, Landon graduated from Tupelo High School.  He then moved to Memphis where he received a degree in Mortuary Science from Northwest. He is certified by the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards and licensed to practice Funeral Directing and Embalming in Mississippi and Tennessee.  He is the son of Bill Roberson and Jeanne Roberson, and the grandson of Nancy Grissom.  He and his wife, Jennifer have two children, Mathew & Scout.  He enjoys fishing, hunting and traveling with his family.

Steve has been on the Pegues Staff since 1982.  He is the son of Betty Bramlett and the late Jerry T. Bramlett.  A Tupelo native, he grew up in several areas in Mississippi, moving around with his father's ministry.  A graduate of Nettleton High School, he then attended Itawamba Community College.  Steve is married to the former Tracie Nichols of Tupelo.  He has three children, Jon, Molly,and Ella.  Steve and his family are members at Gloster Street Church of Christ. He is an avid sports enthusiast.

A Tupelo native, Joan is the daughter of the late Cleve and Lillian Frederick and a graduate of Shannon High School.  She joined the staff of W.E. Pegues in 1993.  Married to Doug McCraw, they have one son, Mike McCraw.  She attends Palmetto Baptist Church where she serves as the church clerk and an assistant Sunday School teacher.

Joey is a native of Pontotoc county and a 1981 graduate of South Pontotoc High School.  He worked in the retail and wholesale grocery business for over 20 years and served in the Pontotoc National Guard for 15 years.  Joey began working for W.E. Pegues in 2005 and is a state certified cremation specialist.  He is an active member of Belden Baptist church where he has served on the usher committee for the past eight years and as head usher for the last two years. Joey has one son, Joseph.

Marla joined the Pegues' staff in December of 2005.  She has lived all over the state of Mississippi, coming to Tupelo in 1999.  She is a graduate of Blue Mountain College with a degree in education and taught kindergarten for several years.  Before coming to W.E. Peuges, she served as a ministry assistant to her pastor husband.  Marla is a member of NorthStar Church in Saltillo where she works in Children's Ministry.  She and Terry have have three children, Amy, Andrew, and Aaron.

Shirley joined the Pegues staff as Insurance Clerk April 21, 2008.  She grew up in Mantachie and attended Itawamba Community College where she earned her associates degree in music.  She married David Mills in 1979, and they have two children, Johnathan and Brandon.  Shirley attends Tupelo Free Will Baptist Church where she plays the piano, sings in the choir, and is the Prayer Chairman of Women Active for Christ.
