Condolences

Condolence From: Roger Lucas
Condolence: I want to say to the family how shocked I was to hear of the passing of your wonderful Mother. She has been a dear friend to my family for over 30 years and I know she will be dearly missed. Heaven is brighter today because another angel has entered into the light. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you during this time of sorrow. God bless each of you.

Condolence From: Bobby and Cynthia Douglas
Condolence: Reading about Robbie's death brought back some wonderful memories of all of your family going back about 50 years. We remember those workdays and it was about 1965-66 when we shared a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner after working on that old house at Southland. You are precious folks. Be assured of our prayers at this special time of loss and change. Bobby and Cynthia Douglas

Condolence: We hope you find some confort in this poem:

MY MOTHER
(Author Unknown)

Who fed me from her gentle breast?
And hushed me in her arms to rest,
And on my cheek sweet kisses prest?
MY MOTHER!

When sleep forsook my open eyes,
Who was it sung sweet hush a byes,
And rocked me that I should not cry?
MY MOTHER!

Who sat and watched my infant head,
When sleeping on my cradle bed?
And tears of sweet affection shed?
MY MOTHER!

When pain and sickness made me cry,
Who gazed upon my heavy eye?
And wept for fear that I should die?
MY MOTHER!

Who dressed me in clothes just the right way?
And taught me pretty how to play,
And minded all I had to say?
MY MOTHER!

Who ran to help me when I fell?
And would some pretty story tell,
Or kiss the place to make it well?
MY MOTHER!

And can I ever cease to be
Appreciative for all the sacrifices that came from thee,
Who was so very kind to me?
MY MOTHER!

Ah! No, the thought I cannot bear,
And if God please my life to spare,
I hope I shall reward thy care,
MY MOTHER!

And when I see thee hang thy head,
“Twill be my turn to watch thy bed,
And tears of sweet affection shed,
MY MOTHER!

My love for thee will always last
Long after you from this earth you have past!
Because of Christ’s sacrifice, in Heaven I look for thee so fast!
MY MOTHER!
