Weir - Mary Gladys Hamric, 88, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born in Choctaw County on June 28, 1923 to Benjamin Jospeh and Mary Mills Teer. She was a graduate of Weir High School.

Memorial services will be February 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at New Haven Baptist Church in Weir, Mississippi. The Rev. Terry Wills will officiate. Interment will be in New Haven Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Donnie Hamric and wife, Karen, of Weir; two granddaughters, Alecia Hamric Ware of Southaven and Bridgette Hamric Perkins of Batesville; one sister, Dorothy Crenshaw; four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John James Hamric in 1980; her parents.
