Ft. Myer, Fla. - Fred M. Jenkins, 82, formerly of Tupelo, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at the Gulf Coast Hospital in Ft. Myers, Fla. He was born August 21, 1928 in Water Valley. He was a Southern Baptist Minister and served for over 50 years.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. David Ball officiating. Burial will be in Longview Cemetery.

Survivors include his son, Reuben Jenkins and his wife Sandy, of Fort Myers, Florida; two brothers Harold Jenkins of Panama City, Fl. And F.A. Jenkins of Dallas, Tx. also 2 sisters Barbara Ann Baggett of Water Valley, Ms. and Margie Smith of Oxford; his grandchildren, Angela Cayson of Tupelo, Ms., Erik Jenkins, Jeremy Jenkins & Adrian Jenkins of Louisville, Ky. Jennifer Bingham of Hubert, N.C. and Ashley Jenkins of Fort Myers, Fl.; 23 Great grandchildren & 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Jenkins and a son, Eddie Lynn Jenkins.

Visitation will begin after 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
