Condolences

Condolence From: Jimmy Peach
Condolence: Mr. Robert was one of those men who had a profound influence on my life as a teenager as well as an adult. Besides his Christian influence as my teacher at church, just observing his everyday life as a model of decency and Christian character was something way too few men exhibit before a watching world. As evidenced throughout his life, this model was never compromised. He was the same man in 2011 that I remember from back in the 60's; always a smile along with a warm greeting every time we met. There must have been a joyous celebration when Christ, along with his family that preceded him, welcomed him into heaven. Our loss is certainly heavens gain. I'll be looking forward along with you to seeing that smile and hearing that warm greeting again someday. Until then, our "Precious Memories" will have to do.

Condolence From: Travis Edge
Condolence: I first met Robert in 1960 when we began working together at Mississippi State Highway Department, as it was then named. We have remained friends for the past 50+ years. We not only worked together, we did some rabbit hunting on Saturdays. Robert was a good man and an inspiration to me. I'll miss seeing him at church, but I know he is in a better place.
