Condolences

Condolence From: Jim & Stella Bennett Roanoke, Virginia
Condolence: We were so sad to hear of Don's passing. Don and I were in THS class of 1953. We came by your house during the reunion in 2003. My wife loved your flowers.

Don was a good friend and I remember many good things about him. I know he is in a better place and I know the Lord will substain you and your family in the coming days.

Condolence: Donald was so special to our family since we grew up together in the same church. He was a bright spot with his dry sense of humor and his care of his family. He made sure to check on Mother after Daddy died since Tommy and I both lived so far away. One of my most vivid memories of Donald was when I was in college and had my tonsils removed. He came by the hospital to see me. My throat was extremely sore after the surgery, but Donald said, "Hey, Rae, I saw a popcorn machine in the lobby;. I'll run down and get you some if you want." I remember tears ran down my face just thinking about that, but I can almost still hear him laughing. He was kind and considerate, but I'm not sure he wanted anybody to know that. He and Daddy had a special bond that I thought was great, too. He was a "keeper". May God give you comfort and wrap His arms of love around you.

Condolence: I am very sorry to hear about Don's demise; he probably never knew it, but he was a very positive figure in my life and the best salesman I have ever met. When I started working with Don in 1969, I was somewhat ignorant of social graces; Don corrected me on many occasions, and if I am honest, I have to say that I appreciated it and emulate his style even today in sales. God bless him and his family. May he rest in peace.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear about the passing of my dear friend, Don. I lived in Tupelo back in the late 60's and 70's and he has sold me a lot of new cars. He was really a wonderful person and I know that you the family will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. God Bless each of you.
